An adjustable bed has a motorised base that lets you raise or lower the head and/or foot of the bed at the touch of a button. They're ideal for people with back pain, acid reflux, snoring, sleep apnoea, poor circulation, or limited mobility — as well as anyone who enjoys reading or watching TV in bed. They're increasingly popular with New Zealand's older population and those recovering from surgery.

Not all mattresses work on adjustable bases. Flexible mattress types such as memory foam, latex, and many hybrid pocket spring mattresses are generally compatible. Always check compatibility before purchasing. At SuperPrice Furniture, we sell adjustable-compatible mattresses alongside our bases to make choosing easier.

We offer adjustable base-only options for customers who already have a compatible mattress.

Yes. We offer King (Split) and Super King (Split) adjustable bases, where each side of the bed operates independently. This is ideal for couples with different sleep preferences one partner can raise the head while the other stays flat.

We offer adjustable beds in Long Single, King Single, Double, Queen, King (Split), Super King (Split), and California King sizes available as base only, mattress only, or as a complete mattress and adjustable base set.

It can take up to 4–12 weeks to fully adjust to sleeping on an adjustable base, especially if you've been sleeping on a flat bed for many years.

Yes, standard fitted sheets may pop off on an adjustable base because of the movement. You'll need sheets with a deep pocket (at least 40–50cm depth) to stay in place when the base moves. Ask our team about compatible sheet options.
